This is your pic with adjusted levels for better contrast. The right contrast makes your picture "pop." One problem is that there isn't significant light, so it's all pretty much one tone, making it harder to make it pop. Viewed: 131 times.

Black and white, obviously. Depth of field is a problem here and you can see it better in black and white (eliminating the distraction of color). Look at the top left of the flower. See how it's blurred compared to the rest of the flower? You want the background blurred to make the flower pop out, but some of the flower is blurred into the background. Definitely do some reading on depth of field. Viewed: 128 times.

Your very first pic original. Nice, nice composition. But the tone is flat. Viewed: 123 times.

I like this macro better than the previous one. A lot of the time, closer is better and it works for this one. It's framed more tightly. Still a problem with the depth of field (upper left flower petals). Viewed: 140 times.

Black and white with contrast adjusted with levels. You can see the depth of field problem better. Viewed: 126 times.

I also like the composition of this pic, for the most part. Something seems offset, though. *Viewed: 147 times.

I think this is my favorite of the lot. It's got some light coming through and highlighting the side of the horse. Viewed: 122 times.
