I’m so busy right now my head could explode. Well, it would explode, but then I’d have to clean up the mess. Sunday I got up and planned on spending the morning tweaking the website so it looks more polished and getting it all over onto Movable Type so it’s easier for me to maintain and update. HAHAHAHAHA. Just the morning? Forget THAT. More like from 8 in the morning until about midnight. Stupid brain had to learn how the template system worked. Anyway, it’s about done. Somehow I ended up breaking the skin template for my forum and had to give up and upload a new one. I’m not too happy with it, but it’ll work for now because I’ve got SO many other things to do.

Have you ever looked back and realized that you’d set out on the path you seem to have been meant to take years ago, but meandered off?

Because in the spring of 2002, I set out and completed a fairly ambitious trip I called Carpetbagger.

I was writing and photographing. I had plans. I mean, duh. I should be doing that now instead of going off on a path to become a social worker. I mean, being a social worker is a great thing to do, but there’s this photography thing.

I gotta go see about a career.

Here’s the first of a series of movies we’re doing on the adventures of me and my friends snowboarding.

I’ve never shot movies before and this editing job was my first using Adobe Premiere Elements.

The file is in Windows Media format. It’s 19 minutes long and the file size is 18 MB.

You can either stream it or save target as: The Back Edge

It’s called The Back Edge because Levesque is always catching her back edge and falling on her ass. I, on the other hand, tend to catch my front edge and faceplant. Either way, we make entertaining snowboarders.

In Key West, Saul’s dad left him, but the feeling that he could return always haunted him. Sent for the summer to Massachusetts, things didn’t improve by much. Then Allison drowned. After that, he wasn’t wanted. It wasn’t that they didn’t love him; they just couldn’t bear the sight of him anymore, because he was Allie’s look-alike cousin. So Saul was sent to a relative of his mother’s, to a house where he could have the opportunity to be safe, to a house where he was haunted not only by the ghost of his father’s return, but by supernatural spirits as well.
